Everspace 2 has been announced by Rockfish.

This is a follow-up to their last open-world space-shooter game/RPG.

Nice! I wouldn't call the first one an open world game though. Its a rogue like where you are jumping from jump point to jump point with each one being a randomly generated space environment. Its a really fun game and its got some amazing visuals. Excited they are making another one, the environments look much more varied in that trailer.
