Post by: MysterD on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, 07:03:26 PM
TheVerge.com - Big news...EA is returning to Steam:
https://www.theverge.com/2019/10/29/20937055/ea-games-steam-access-subscription-service-pc-storefront-jedi-fallen-order-sales

Notes:
- EA left Steam years ago, after Crysis 2 and Dragon Age 2 were removed b/c of Steam wanting all DLC's on their platform for new titles.
- Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order will be the first new title from EA on Steam since 2011.
- The Sims 4, Unravel 2, Battlefield V, Apex Legends, and FIFA 20 will be coming to Steam.
- EA Access will offer a subscription service of select collection EA Titles onto Steam, which is like EA what does on Origin.
- EA and Steam's services and games from EA will be separate entities entirely, so you have to pick where you want your games, sub-service, whatever...
- Nothing can stop you from buying the same games or subscriptions on both services, though...
- EA Access on Steam will be $4.99 per month of $29.99 annually.
- Games that will be in EA Access on Steam have yet to be decided entirely.
- EA Access on Steam will launch some time next year.

Is this like UPlay and have to launch Origin anyway?
