Rumor: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990x (approx. $4000) is beating a dual-setup of Intel's Xeon Platinum 8280 ($20,000 altogether):

- AMD Ryzen TR 3990x is beating out a dual set-up for Intel Xeon Platinum 8280 (where each Xeon has 28 cores & 56 threads).
- Intel Xeon Platinum 8280 goes for $10,000 a piece (or $20,000 for a dual set-up of these).
