Maybe this would be cool? I'm not a huge RE guy, but I really did like RE4 until it got ... goofy. And I don't think it's aged particularly well, even though a lot of people still think it's great. I wouldn't want to play it again. But I've been pretty impressed with the remakes, even though I haven't played them myself because, again, not a huge RE guy. But this one might actually do well with a new coat of paint and some gameplay improvements.

I don't really remember a lot of RE 4 apart from the beginning but I do remember the second half being bad or annoying or something. What happened?

Resident Evil 4 was the first RE game I ever played - and I thought it was an amazing game. I would definitely be interested in seeing how the remake will turn out -- if it is anything like the RE2 remake, it will be awesome.

It just got weird in the second half. Like it started as kind of mysterious, fairly straightforward, more serious in tone. Then all of a sudden we got some weird midget Napoleon guy who was also a squid? I don't remember, it just kinda went off the rails there for me and I lost interest.
