Shadow Warrior 2 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_Warrior_2) is a sequel to the Shadow Warrior 2013 Reboot. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_Warrior_(2013_video_game))
Flying Hog Wild (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Wild_Hog) is behind both.
SW 2013 is an old-school style linear-style FPS w/ modern-day graphics.
Shadow Warrior 2 is some kind evolution into looter-shooter turf. It's some kind of FPS/ARPG combo with randomized elements (often in side-quests - where enemies, weather, conditions, map lay-outs, etc. are randomized), open-world elements, a hub area even (where you upgrade and get quests from), and whatnot. If you want, it also had 4 player co-op supported.
The old Shadow Warrior [1997] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_Warrior_(1997_video_game)) was on the Build Engine, which 3D Realms developed a long time ago, after they did DN3D. That was an old-school style linear FPS, like DN3D. Of course, it has the crass and references galore in its humor, as 3DR's known for.

I actually heard a lot of really good things about SW2. I wasn't especially interested at first, but I read a couple reviews that got me curious. I wasn't that into the first reboot game, though. It wasn't terrible, but not enough to keep me going past a couple hours of fiddling with it. Apparently I missed this freebie, which sucks.
