Title: Tapatalk
Post by: Xessive on Sunday, September 02, 2012, 07:08:39 AM
Hey guys! I've been using Tapatalk on iPad for viewing the boards. It does a decent job of forum managment.
Now I'm using a Tapatalk-compatible add-on for XBMC plainly called Forum Browser. It works fairly well, makes viewing the boards on a TV screen quite legible (without havingt to zoom or anything).
Even better, it makes mouse-free forum browsing a breeze, keyboad-only controls work great. Built-in acess to Youtube links works great too.
That said, it does lack some features, for one typing is limited to this tiny little dialogue box, about 3-lines vertically, and it doesn't wrap, so the latter half of my text is guess work.
But more importantly it lacks a search feature, or maybe I can't find it, hence why I couldn't search for our previous Tapatalk thread.
If anyone uses or gets around to using this add-on we could try exploring its functionality with regards to OWnet. Either way, Tapatalk functionality has made our booards better!

Bumping this to let everyone know that Tapatalk made all their mobile apps free for their anniversary. From the email:

To celebrate our 4th year anniversary, Tapatalk app is now completely free. Checkout Tapatalk 2 for Android in Amazon App Store, Tapatalk 4 (Beta) in Google Play, and the original Tapatalk app for iOS is also free in Apple App Store!
Grab it if you haven't, it's pretty nice.

Still showing up at $5 for me. It might take some time before it shows up here or it might just be a North America thing.

I'd buy it for $5.  I hate trying to use the desktop version of boards on my phone.  This site has an old mobile format for WAP phones you can use, but its functionality is really limited.
