I've been meaning to ask about how the forum handles images.  I noted that it put my sonic picture in its own window.  That kind of bugs me.  But at least that wasn't resized, so it wasn't that bad.  But this sucks.

Anyway, it looks cool.  Would love to see it at full res.  That's kinda' fun.

That's pretty cool, I wish I had the patience to use Illustrator(or some other vector program) when I was in school to do vector art but I got too used to Photoshop.

Anything that would stretch out the post or the forum width-wise gets placed in its own scrolling box with SMF.  Otherwise, people have to scroll horizontally to read the post, which is bad.

As far as why idol's image was resized, it is because the forum's maximum image height is 768 and the maximum width is 1024.  After checking out the image, it is 1200 pixels in height, way beyond the maximum of 768.  So the forum resized it.

Some of these restrictions are laid out in the sticky on the general board.  If you have huge images, just make them a link.  It is the best way.

Yo Idol, I was chillin' and looking at your Wii controller, and I thought I'd mess around with it. I came up with a shiny controller:

I hope you like it :D Also I was wondering if you would permit me to release it on deviantART, you'd get credit obviously.

That pretty much puts mine to shame. Awesome work.

And of course you can put it on DA.

Wow Xessive, that is really impressive!

Your original work is quite good as well idol.  I've never messed around with vector images, though I've thought about giving it a shot.

Thanks man ;D

Vector is great, I'd say it's where digital imaging is headed. Usually when I wanna mess around I just use Photoshop. Illustrator's interface and options are awkward, even though it does look similar to Photoshop it can be unfriendly. Usually when I have to do vector drawing I draw them in Flash/Freehand then I import to Illustrator (I can't deny that it is nontheless a powerful application).

It's a good idea to start looking into vector while you've still got the patience to learn it :P

Vector is fun because nothing is really "set in stone"...you can go in and tweak nodes for ages if you want.

I was just about to ask you when you said vector is the future of digital imagining why you say that.  I always thought it was for relatively simple thinks like logos.

That site is ridiculous.  Like that motorcycle... it looks dead-on like a photograph.

The only problem is the sheer ammount of work it takes to make something like that. If you're making a billboard or something that needs to be scaled up to a huge size, then great. But it would be far quicker to set up and take a real photo and mess with in in Photoshop for anything else.

Yeah it can be pretty hectic. I imagine in the future they'll figure out algorithms to convert photos into high detail vector images. Perhaps even digital cameras will take vector photos! Haha imagine!
