Depends on what side you're on. I hear its easier for alliance to do than horde.

Onyxia was the very first raid boss and Blizzard wanted the questline to be "epic". It just proved to be annoying so they stopped it for MC/BWL/AQ/Naxx.

The questline is indeed a pain in the ass, though not so much on the alliance compared to the horde.

Regardless, it's a good quest line to do to net some good XP, or gold, depending on what you want.
