Fucking around in Inkscape again. These are in the order I came up with them.

1.) I had this idea in my head but I never really got it to look like I imagined. So its just here because...its kinda neat. Kinda.

2.)zomg web twopointoh! I kinda liked the strange anchor logo looking thing.

3.) Started as just the bottom bit, but it looked kind of monstrous so I added a head.

4.) Two for one sale! I didn't end up deleting the green one as I worked on the devil. Oh well. Yes, I know his arm is way too long.

So there you go.

Pretty sweet. I like the devil guy, though I dunno' how well he'd work alone just as a logo. But he's still great. The others are all interesting too.

And looking at the first one, if you mirrored it, it would almost look like an O and a W. That's kind of neat.

Yeah, cool ideas all around. I don't know how we're ever going to decide on anything at this point. I mean, seriously... how?

I really, really, really like the first one in #4. Try making it a blue so it would blend better with the site...

I don't think deciding will be the problem. I mean, when the right logo comes along, we will know. It's just the fact that Idol is basically the only one coming up with them. So its hard when it's all one one person. I actually tried to make some but they really sucked. I would help but my artistic talent is below zero. But these are definitely all good ideas and stuff. It's awesome that you are coming up with stuff Idol, it's much appreciated.

Edit: The above in response to Que. And yeah Scott, I liked that one too, it just needs something else...maybe after a color change it will look different.

Well, try these out.

3rd one just has a quick photoshop filter applied since I didn't feel like doing it the hard way in inkscape.

And don't worry about me being the only one doing logo junk. I've been putting it off more than I should have, and I do like doing it. Its a challenge.

Hey, I tried to help! I'm just no good with doing photoshop work and stuff so there's only so much I can do.

Anyway, I like the design. But it needs more skully.

Yeah, actually I was looking at your ideas sheet. I liked that skull isea you had drawn up but I couldn't get it to look right when I tried to recreate it. Ended up with a buck-tooth looking skull.

Good stuff. I like the first one best. A little on the light side though, maybe.

Ok, so darker. I sampled better colors from the forums. Only difference between them is the outlines (black, neutral color, and none)

And in case anyone is wondering, those are actually letters from the font Alba.

I actually like the character of the little devil guy. The W inside the O seems..... a little boring to me. I do like the simplicity, but I do think it would be cool to have some kind of little mascot that could be associated with the site.

I'm thinking the same thing with having a little mascot. I don't think it has to match the site logo, but a creature of some kind that adds personality to the site.

I concur. And personally, I like the less-fancy sort of pixelated ideas we had better than the sort of more pro-looking stuff. Maybe that's just me. Still, the one idol's been working on isn't bad as far as those go. I think I just find some of the other ideas we've had to be a little more memorable.

Well, I think I like the idea of both- perhaps a pro-looking pixelated idea. Even without the pixelated, though, these all look pretty sharp. The fact that Idol is getting ideas out there is great, we just need more feedback on them.

It's interesting, though, and I think (for me, anyway) a bit more in line with what I'm visualizing in my head. If you make the top slightly larger and raise it a bit, you could make the white on the inside look like a skull, too!
