or you could pay what you think its worth.. like the article says, it has been done before but this time its Radiohead! As much as I dislike Radiohead post "OK Computer", this is a pretty awesome move by them.
Suck it, Pugnate.

Fucking awesome, I've been looking forward to this album since Hail to the Thief.

Only thing I have is OK Computer... I always liked them a bit, just never followed them.

I saw this yesterday, it kicks all kinds of ass. Radiohead is my favorite band, I can't wait for the album. I will probably donate just out of principle.

I'm more interested in the $81 disc box version, myself. Shame I can't afford it.

I'm not surprised they are giving it away free.  I think they suck.

I like the songs they did for "HHH". The vocals can be a mixed bag though.

I like "Everything in Its Right Place", from the Vanilla Sky OST.

Fuck that, Pandora's Box has been opened.  I will never pay to download music.  If a CD is very good, I'll buy a hard copy.  Other then that, I'm not paying shit.

I am the complete opposite of Keebs and enjoy most of their stuff after OK Computer, especially Kid A and Hail to the Thief.  I am enjoying the album so far the 3 times I've listened to it.  It's not as good as Hail to the Thief but its still pretty good, I especially like "Bodysnatchers", "Faust Arp", and "Jigsaw Falling Into Place".

Also GPW you do know they aren't asking people to pay full price for the entire album right?  You can donate as little as 1 penny (however that translates in Euro) and get the full album.  They are asking people to pay what they want for it.

Yeah, I know.  My main thing is that this isn't the revolutionary new system that will save the music industry.  It's better, but as far as I'm concerned there's still no real incentive to pay.

That's a little shortsighted. I certainly don't think that we should pay the current $15 per album, but clearly the artists should be compensated. It's their job - if they aren't paid they can't make the music.

I'm not saying music should be free, I'm just saying that it's very easily available for free.  What Radiohead is doing is a great way to independently distribute music, but that's about it.  It doesn't really help the little guys who don't have the capital sitting around to have the luxury of hoping they'll break even because people are nice, and it doesn't do anything to get people to actually buy music.

God damn, "Jigsaw Falling Into Place" is a great song, you assholes need to listen to the album and post impressions.  They do some really good acoustic guitar work in the songs on this album.

"Nude" is really cool, as well as "Jigsaw...", which Belmont mentioned. I've only listened to it a few times, though. I need a little more time with it.

I've been playing this off and on since yesterday.  I can listen to the whole thing, which is amazing for any pop album made this century.  Some tunes are better than others, of course.  House of Cards is on right now.  It's mellow and very pleasant.  My foot is going along.

So I finally downloaded it today, though when I saw that the discbox included "Up On The Ladder" I wanted it even more. That track is one of my favourites by Radiohead and this is the first time they've done it in the studio. Still, I have to agree on Jigsaw, it kicks ass. Also, they did a live webcast on Friday that I missed, but there's plenty of it up on YouTube - most notably a Smiths cover, "The Headmaster Ritual".
