If I were smart I would have taken the week off work and bought one to ebay.  I barely make this much cash in 6 months.

I bet a lot of these are disgruntled gamers racking the prices up with no intention of buying.

True, I was actually browsing ebay looking for the obligitory selling of the ps3 box for $300+.  Interestingly I couldn't find any.  Most systems seemed to be going for around $2000 (which in itself is obsurd) this one went out of control.  Looks like it ended at a little over $20k.  I can't imagine who would be dumb enough to buy a ps3 for that amount of cash.
