Anyone else play this yet? I got it from my father-in-law for Christmas. It plays a lot like the original, but Retro Studios did an excellent job updating the title. There's a lot of varied obstacles in the courses and it just really feels like a throwback done right.
I miss having experiences like this. Between getting this and NBA Jam it almost feels like 1994 all over again.

More details. What is it?

Its Donkey Kong Country. And its returned!

Its Donkey Kong Country. And its returned!
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Okay... platform? Release date? Anything? I'm far too lazy to Google this.

Though to be honest I wasn't really a big fan of DKC back in the day.

I loved DKC2. The first DKC was decent as well. I did not like the third.
I actually recently got the 102% completion on DKC2 when I played some of my old titles again. Some of those levels are still very challenging to this day.

I'm really taking the time to savor the game. Not really by choice. Hell I was on Vacation from December 23 until today and I only got to sit down and play a game a handful of times. I can't say enough how good of a platformer this is. Retro threw in some new gameplay mechanics that really make this varied experience. The rocket barrel is really fun to use.
