Going out in a little while. With the new big patch coming soon with the PvP changes, Arena, new talents, etc...I want to play again. Be all prepared for BC, maybe play my mage some more or level a hunter.

I caved the other day and reactivated. I must get my gnome with dark mantle! Its funny though, every time I come back from a WoW break something good happens. This time I managed to progress further with my quests for my dark mantle, I got stuck at this part but all of a sudden the night I come back, I complete it.

Strangely, I don't feel like going back to WoW as much as I did before.  I'll probably end up being a very casual player in the future, if I play again at all.

PS, WoW patches suck ass. I'm trying to keep up on them in case I do resubscribe, but they are making me cry. So I have a full patch up to 1.10. I downloaded the 1.10 to 1.11 last night and attempted to patch. Oops, its 1.10.2 to 1.11! Ok, cool, just get 1.10 to 1.10.2 and you'll be fine.

Except that patch doesn't exist. 1.10->1.10.1->1.10.2 doesn't exist anywhere. So apperantly there is no way to patch higher unless I go and download the big super patch. And if I'm going to download something like that again, I might as well wait for the big 2.0 patch.

Yeah, I started playing again recently too.  I am trying to get 2 60's before BC, possibly 3.  So far, I have a 57 Druid, 46 Mage, and 39 Pally.  I am thinking that over Christmas break I will have enough time to get them all there. Right now, I am just playing them all enough to get rid of the rested XP earned each day.

Shit.  See, I was doing fine, and then all of a sudden... the urge came back.  Damn it to hell.  Seriously, it hit me really hard, to the point where I'm actually considering signing up again tonight after the Thanksgiving festivities.  I miss visiting.  Problem is, Sy and Idol didn't cave yet, so I'd be kinda' lonely.

I'm getting there. I'm almost done downloading the full 1.12 patch just to be up-to-date. The game is installed...just no subscription. Grrr...

Well, I'm all patched to the latest version. Just have to decide if I want to play now or wait. It seems the next patch is friggin huge. The background downloader says 468MB. If I resubscribe now and the update hits next Tuesday, I'll be paying for a week of playtime that I'll be unable to play because I have this huge thing to download. So I'll probably wait until I've got this done at least.

I'm still holding back until I can get this huge update patch downloaded. I did that before when a huge patch was released I wasted a weeks worth of time from downloading. But I did get a timecard for when I do break. Even if sy doesnt play, I'm probably going to play my mage and I'm thinking of making a hunter and warlock.

Okay, I can hold off.  Maybe.  I have it installed and updated, but I didn't actually sign up yet.  So maybe I'll try to cool it for a bit longer.

Good good. I'll let you know when I go ahead and start. I'll futz around on my mage a bit, use my druid to stockpile shit for the expansion, and like I said I want to try a hunter for sure and maybe a warlock. Or both...whatever...you know me.

So...yeah. Stockpile. Runecloth prices will go way up with the expansion. All the caps raised, so people will be leveling First Aid and Tailoring again. Will probably fill a bank alt with that.

Jewelcrafting will see a spike in miners, so metal prices are going to plummet. Good time to be a blacksmith or engineer...but shitty for anyone using mining to make money. Skinning and herbalism will be the new money maker combo, except thats what everyone will do and probably have a market flood. I think the best way to make money at first will be to actually craft things. If I make a hunter I'm taking Herbalism and Alchemy. People always need pots.

Trying to think of other things to take advantage of...be prepared.

I've been kinda' wanting to go horde a bit.  My big thing is I'm afraid of the time investment right now.  I really want to play, but I know it's a bad idea.  I should at least wait until December.

You guys might want to hoard gems like Shadowgems, Moss Agates, Citrines and stuff because they are needed for Jewelcrafting. Will be easy way to make some gold when expansion hits.

Yeah, I made my mage a miner/skinner. I sell everything but the gems, which I've been hoarding to sell later.

Whoo.  I might actually make it.  Especially considering that I get tons of time off for Christmas break (3 weeks!).  Should be plenty of time to play constantly!

Got the patchy stuff downloaded. Woohoo! So we'll see...might resub once they come back up from maintenance.

I used a MPQ explorer and looked to see whats in the patch. Tons of fun stuff like the new creatures (hunters will be grabbing them in the outlands and brining them back to the major cities, so everyone needs the files), and right now I'm listening to the BC main theme. Its a remix of the login screen music.
