Title: Amélie
Post by: idolminds on Thursday, October 19, 2006, 11:42:45 PM
Someone on here mentioned the movie. I had heard about it, seen it in stores, but had never watched the movie.

Until now. I haven't seen a movie this good in some time. Thanks to whoever mentioned it (I'm thinking sy?).

It might have been me since I probably mention it whenever I get the chance. It's easily one of my favorites.

Then Que might not, but Amelie may start crying.

I haven't seen it, but I want to. I've heard only good things.

Feel Good Movie of the past 20 years.  And to think the guy who made this was the same guy who brought us the shithole "Alien: Resurrection"

Yes, it's the same guy. Even if the movie itself was lacking, it's hard to deny that it had a really cool look to it... even if it didn't look very Alienesque.

Still, it's hard to consider that a huge spot on his record since he also did City of Lost Children, which is awesome, and a Very Long Engagement, which is super awesome. The guy's easily one of my favorites out there.

i think anyone here whose seen it has mentioned it, it's one of those kind of flicks. makes you glad to be part of the entire human experience or something. whatever, drunk.

but seriously. this is a film that could melt a heart of (what's the substance with the highest melting point - google says carbon) carbon. you owe it to yourslef, no matter your bastardness level, to watch this flick.

Meg and I watched it a couple months ago. We got it from Netflix. I went out and bought it the next day. It's one of my all time favorites. Everything about it is perfect.
