:D I missed you guys! Seriously! When I was in LA, I wanted to meet up with whoever I could but we weren't there very long and then my kid got sick.
I'm travelling and it's a p.i.t.a with kids.

So...what do you do when you feel murderous? I could strangle my eldest kid right now.

I deflect negativity as much as possible by getting involved in something that requires concentration, like gaming, but also reading and going out of my way to get involved in debates about whatever seems interesting at the time--basically lose myself in something other than myself. It's been an effective tactic against an emotionally bad century so far, and much better for me than drugs and alcohol.
What did your kid do? Beware that they're not born blank slates. They come with their personalities, good and bad traits right out of you. :)

OMG.. I know so very well they're not blank slates. Even while they were in my stomach they already showed me that. The eldest is like an old person--very set in his ways and SO particular. In the tummy, he'd always wake at 4 am. And it's still like that.
The second one..ahhh..this one is going to be one I will have to constantly chase. I already had to move my bed to the floor at 4 months, already trying to stick finger in socket at 4 and a half months. :(
So many things can make me murderous..but the really bad days are when I'm totally on the edge because of severe lack of sleep. I haven't had a good night's sleep in years!

I feel like I'm the only one who's life situation hasn't changed that much. Sure, I have a job now, but still live at home. Single, no kids, just going along with the Silicon Valley grind. Maybe I'll never grow up...
