That does look pretty awesome. Color me interested! It's like Metal Gear/Batman or something. Sweet!

I've been keeping my eye on this one as well and I'm hoping it turns out good.

Apparently The Joker will be a PS3 exclusive playable character.

The only thing I'm sad about so far is they didn't get Mark Hamill to do the Joker's voice or the batman from the animated series. As far as I'm concerned, those have been the perfect voices for those two.

Sirean, are you on crazy pills?

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/939/939245p1.html

Even in the trailer, you could tell it was obviously Mark Hamil's version of The Joker from BtAS. And Kevin Conroy is Batman...

They are the ideal Batman and Joker voices. Kevin Conroy should just legally change his name to Bruce Wayne.

I watched the Harley Quinn trailer and I think it's the same voice actress too.

Really? Maybe I am on crazy pills. They sounded a bit off to me in the trailers I've watched, almost like they're other actors trying to sound like Hamill and Conroy.

Must be the crazy pills. At least it's good to know that the proper people are on the job.

I'm still pretty anxious about this upcoming title.

The more I look it up the more excited I get about it. Although I know better than to get my hopes too high!

Is it just me or does Batman's head seem too long:

It kinda works for the Gothic style they seem to be going for.

It all seems questionable. However, what if a magazine genuinely loves the game and gave it a presumably deserved 90%? Do they get the flack too?

From a marketing perspective it's an apt move from Eidos: ensuring only favourable reviews around the high sale time frame.

I doubt Eidos are the only one who do it, perhaps they do it most aggressively. Most likely to back up their earlier statements "Batman: Arkham Asylum, is as close to perfection as a video game can get..."

The only ones that stand to lose face are the magazines. If any of them fix a review score just to have an early review then they stand to lose a lot of credibility; which is a critical currency for any publication.

If I was running a game-reviewing company, I'd tell Eidos, "I ain't reviewing your game until the damn embargo is over with."

The gameplay vids actually look really good, but I can't get over the really ugly art style. Batman doesn't look sleek enough, and instead looks like some steroid freak.

Demo is out on PSN! Just played it. Love it.

The gameplay is simplified. It's very easy to get into it and start going bat-ninja on some jokers.

I haven't tried a single demo yet, but the gameplay videos have been fantastic. I really loved the "predator" video I just saw.

I just hope the game has some depth, which is the only thing that is left unconfirmed.

It seems like it might as far as gadgets and game play.

You only get the basics of the basics in the demo. Batarang, grappling gun, detective mode, and I think thats it. The combat system seems pretty cool. It's simple, yet you can do lots of different combos. Like, depending on what the enemy does you can counter in different ways. Or depending on how you are positioned to attack you can do something cool. Like if you sneak up behind someone and hit the y button, batman will punch whoever in the small of their back, then I guess you can say they lurch backward, and he grabs them by the neck and chokes them out. It's all quite dope. I've seen a ton for grdgets and what have you in the videos. So, I'm sure there is lots to do. There is some cool unlockable character bios with interview tapes and such. I listened to both the Joker ones. The asylum seems like a really large compound and it seems varied. Actually walking around looking for clues and such is really cool too.

I'm kind of wondering if it has more than one ending. Like if a certain guard dies, or you take a different path or something.

It's dope though. Check it out if you have the means.

I gave the demo a try and it's pretty good.  I don't know if I'll buy it though.
