Title: Youth In Revolt
Post by: nickclone on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, 02:26:08 AM
This is the new vehicle driven by Michael Cera and I really don't want to see it...just like everything else he's ever done except for Superbad. I was a huge fan of Arrested Development from the very begginning, but his part in that show was somewhat minimal.

Anyways, I just don't get Cera's appeal. Apparently, some females think he's hot (I think he is extremely weird looking) and some people not only think he's funny, but think he's a great actor. He plays the same role in everything he's ever been in: awkward teenager. He uses the exact same acting devices in everything he's ever been in: someone says something, he stares blankly or someone says something and he mutters something meekly.

In this movie he plays two characters and they are still exactly the same except one sports a shitty mustache. How many more movies is this guy going to make until people realize he sucks?

Zach Galifianakis is in it which will increase my chances of watching it. Not in the cinema though. I'll wait for a DVD release or something.

Meh, the movie doesn't look like anything worth watching.

That said, I love Arrested Development and enjoyed Superbad.

Some ladies think this kid is hot? Really? I think it is a case of girls wanting to have someone famous.

I know, he has a small head, a beak nose and these black, dead, beady, sunken in eyes that never show any type of emotion. I have no idea how this kid gets work.

Haha!  nick, you have this guy nailed down to a T!  I did like him in Superbad, but he is the exact same character in all the stuff he's in.

Haha yea, he's good at being the awkward teen, but that's it, eventually that role will be overplayed and he'll have no where to go.

I like the part in the previews w/ them trying to ditch the car off the cliff and into the water....

LOL @ Cracked's take on Michael Cera.
Oh, that's great - and so true.

Cera = type-casted.
