Title: Dark Knight Rises
Post by: PyroMenace on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, 08:38:40 AM
Anyone checking it out this weekend? Plan to see it at the Alamo Drafthouse with Belmont on Saturday. Gonna watch the first two again over the next few days. However I really don't think that this one is going to exceed what the Dark Knight did. Nolan's Joker was the best adaption of that character I'd ever seen and while Bane is a good antagonist, there's no way its going to be as good as the Batman to Joker face off. Though I'm sure it's going to be as entertaining as hell.

I definitely want to see it. Probably not on the first weekend though.

Buying advanced tickets for when it releases here. It is apparently brilliant, especially if you liked Batman Begins more than The Dark Knight. Guys as soon as you watch do post impressions.

I want to do this thing downtown on the 19th where they show all 3 in a row, but I really can't justify it. Definitely want to see it, though, once the fervor dies down a bit.

I noticed this when I watched Batman Begins then I saw somebody recently pointed it out on Twitter: pic.twitter.com/wtsBbem1 (http://pic.twitter.com/wtsBbem1)

I liked it. It felt like a 'better' movie than TDK but the awesomeness of the Joker puts TDK in a league of its own.

Belmont and I just got back from seeing it. It was goddamn amazing.

It was really good.  Not as intense as The Dark Knight; it feels a little bit slower and more methodical a la Batman Begins, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.  A great conclusion to Nolan's trilogy.

It's been getting a surprising amount of bad press. I think I've talked to more people who didn't like it than did, also, but I'm still looking forward to it. I'm not hypercritical most of the time, and I don't think most of the problems are going to bother me all that much. The other movies had problems too, but they were still great.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. I don't even know where the bad press would be coming from.

All I've seen and heard so far has been positive. Even the usually cynical reviewers have been pretty good about it.

I just saw this tonight.  It was amazing.  There is no one that steals the stage quite like Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, but I liked this one as a movie better overall.  It was extremely enjoyable, and I went in with relatively high expectations.
