Yep, on PC as well unless you grab the Chrome version. It's only free on Android.

Summoner Wars is the next card-based game from Playdek. This one is a bit different because you are summoning things to a board and moving them about. Free download, can buy more factions in-app.

This is different and cool.

Comedy Central's Indecision Game! You make an avatar and choose a political party (Republican, Democrat, or Independent). You then pair up with another random person or someone from your Game Center list. Some political trivia is asked and correct answers earn you voters! At the end of a round (3-5 questions) you see how you did against your opponent and the person with the most correct answers earns bonus voters. You then "spend" your voters on states. Texas is 9, New Mexico is 2, whatever. If you play that many voters to a state before your opponent then you win the state and that number of points.

Kind of a fun "Political Machine Lite".

EDIT

Oh yeah and its async, too.

EDIT2

Quick search turns up an Android release as well!

Ticket To Ride Europe Pocket!

A little strange that they made it a separate app from the regular TTR, but its cheap so I won't bitch. Also has an in-app purchase for the Sweden map!

Junk Jack has been updated a ton. If any of you haven't played in a while or weren't sure if you wanted to grab it, the thing is pretty much on par with Terraria at this point. Tons upon tons of shit to build. They've added livestock breeding (you can build several kinds of stables and breed animals by feeding them), farming (I've got an orchard full of apple, peach, pear, and lemon trees, and have a garden full of all kinds of shit... some plants need tilled soil, others even need support structures), cooking (two different stations you can build to do absolutely all kinds of recipes), gem crafting for items to add extra stats, new mobs, and a graveyard biome.

Don't bother checking the wiki, as a lot of this isn't in there yet.

I played through 10000000. I dont typically get that into iOS games but I loved this one. Its good for short play sessions but I would go at it for an hour and a half, really addicting and the music is awesome.

Loremaster

I don't know if this is any good, but it stood out as something that could be kinda fun and cute. An explanation from the creator:
Quote
You are dealt three types of cards: Nouns, Verbs, and Wild Cards (where you can type anything, as the name implies).

You create an entire sentence using these cards. After the first turn of the game, you'll be asked to pick a card from the previous players turn to use in your sentence.

The system is flexible enough so that you can change "Dragon" to "The Dragon" or "A Dragon" without using a wild card, as well. You can also use "Dragons" or "Dragon's".

Also, you get bonus points for arranging sentences in noun/verb/noun arrangements, to encourage long, more complex sentences.

Cards cost 150 gold each and my estimation is that the average player will earn ~60-80 gold for a short-medium length game. You can end the game after earning 30 XP, but you gain a multiplier that increases for every 10 additional XP... so if you end the game after earning 120 XP, then you'll get a 2x bonus and walk away with 240 gold.

There are currently 150 cards in the deck: 50 characters, 50 places, 50 things, and nearly 100 verbs that are common to all decks.

If you're not happy with a card in your hand, then you can drag it to the bottom of the screen where an exchange tray will pop up. Exchanging a card costs 25 gold.
So you can choose to end the game early or keep playing to pile on XP. There is a Win/Lose record that I'm not sure how it works because this seems much more like a cooperative story making kind of game, but for a buck it sounds kind of neat.

Borderlands is coming to iOS with Borderlands Legends! Coming Oct 31st.
Quote
Behind the big guns of Brick, Lilith, Mordecai, and Roland, fans will be treated to a fresh take on the series’ signature shoot-and-loot formula. Playing from a top-down perspective, they’ll encounter various classes of familiar foes — Skags, Bandits, Crimson Lance, Spider Ants — and pimp skill trees loosely based on the original Borderlands. Characters possess three action skills and six abilities, with each of the latter supporting five levels. In a neat twist, players control all four characters simultaneously and can temporarily coordinate their corpse-piling talents to unleash powerful attacks.

So..... Starblo?

Really though, that's the sort of thing where I wish they would make a $20 game on the level of Torchlight and not restrict it to stupid touchscreens.

Holy crap. I downloaded like 7-9 games tonight, almost all free. Big sales this weekend. I love/hate you, TouchArcade app.

Notable purchases include Organ Trail and that zombie runner. Tried it out tonight... worked pretty nicely, kind of amusing. Haven't messed with it since I got back from the walk (you don't have to run), but we'll see how it goes.

Not too much, but initial responses seem positive. Its already had a release on Android so there is some feedback on the Google Play store, and now some iOS as well.

If the price is right it might be worth grabbing.

Looks like $2 on Android. I'm sold after doing a little reading, though don't have any real sense of its breadth or depth. But it seems very unique for $2.
