Title: EMI To Offer Its Music Catalog WITHOUT Being DRM-wrapped
Post by: MysterD on Sunday, April 15, 2007, 09:46:05 AM
Sounds like a smart, gutsy move to me....

EMI is going to offer its music catalog online w/out being wrapped around any DRM. (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/04/09/apple_emi_drm-free_analysis/)

I still won't use it because it's AAC. 256kbps is good but if I move from my ipod im screwed. Lossless no-DRM downloads and I'm all over it. assuming it's cheaper than buying cd's, which is hard to do considering most of what I buy is $10 or less. significantly cheaper too, owning physical media is worth a few extra dollars.

Yeah, it doesn't make any difference to me.
