Title: Status update.
Post by: Pugnate on Sunday, December 10, 2006, 10:44:08 PM
My life is pretty much in the same spot. In terms of work things are the tense as usual. In terms of manufacturing there has been no issue lately, though customs and shipping give me a headache. Buyers are mostly ok, though there is one hellacious bitch after me. In terms of gaming, I am loving my new system. I sold my vid card about 4 months ago, so there is a lot of goodies for me to go through. Also been thinking of asking this chick out who flirts with me a lot at the bank. Whenever I am there she goes out of her way to come and talk and stuff... issue is I've never gotten her alone enough.

That's about it...

Oh and yea my car got hit by a teenage driver who was with his uncle. The boy didn't have a license and it was his fault as him and his uncle admitted. I was really really pissed and wanted to call the cops on him, but they pleaded that it would mean certain jail time. Anyway I just let them go, but my rear bumper is hanging.  >:(

So what about you guys? What is new with you? We need status updates from everyone.

Dude, tell them to fix your rear bumper or you'll call the cops! It's only fair! Give them a pseudo-choice :P

Yeah, I would've told them $100 bucks and you're off the hook.  :P

Anyways, I have to wake up in a few hours to give a group presentation. It should be fairly kick-ass, I wrote out a skit which is pretty funny, hopefully my professor likes it. I've also got a paper due three hours after that which I haven't started. I'm kinda stressing out about it, I don't know if I can get it done in time, but I dig the pressure, it makes me work harder. After that I'm done with school for the semester. As far as the woman situation, I'm not even going to get into how bleak it is at the moment.  :(

Believe me I tried, but they were pretty poor. The car was some beat up Mazda.

Seriously, Pug, don't let people get you for that crap.  Should have demanded some satisfaction.

Me?  Same old.  Gotta' get back to work on the book but too busy with FFXII, too tired for working but have to work anyway... spending too much money and at the point where I really don't have any more.  Frustrated but happy.

not to be too melodramatic, but my life's a big pile of shit! it's all my own fault, but it still fucking sucks.

i've never been the sunniest person, but a couple of failed relationships, some shitty jobs, and probably too much drink and drugs have taken their toll over the last year or so. i haven't been to work for the last couple of months, as i don't think i could face being around my co-workers or customers without smacking the fuck out of someone. the only time when i feel anything other than anger, hatred, or frustration is when i'm drunk or stoned. i'm going to have to move out of my current place at the end of january, but have neither the funds or motivation to look for anything else.

on the upside, i've lost about 20 pounds and have grown an awesome beard.

Be careful of that shit, man.  Drugs and booze will stave off the badness for a while, but in the end they're only a temporary measure and generally only serve to exacerbate the problem.  Seriously.  You sound like me 5 or 6 years ago.  Trust me, that stuff doesn't lead to anything good.  I still haven't managed to kick the urge to smack the fuck out of people as you put it, but that's something you've gotta' learn to face clean.

Well to be honest Que we hung up traffic for 30 minutes during which they told me not to call the cops and follow them home, where they would pay me. It was 30 minutes away and when we got to his apartment apparently he didn't have any money. He told me to take him to the denter's on Sunday where he'd pay for it. Sunday came and went, and getting something like that fixed would cost about the same as the fuel I would burn in going to his place again.

And Beo, that fingers story was horrid. It keeps popping into my head during all the wrong moments...

I was shot and killed during an armed robbery last week. That was pretty annoying...

What is more annoying is that you are still alive.

I'm doing jack shit.  Finals week right now, but I didn't have a final today so I slept until almost 2.  I plan to round the day off by playing video games and watching The Wire Season 3.  I'll probably order a pizza later.

I guess you could say the downside to my life right now is the fact that I quit my job at the hospital, but to be honest, it's the best thing to happen to me in a while.

I think the latter part of your name sums it up. :P

Hey PoomC, what is The Wire?

What work were you doing at the hospital? And when do you become a pharmacist and earn the big $$$?

Sorry to dissappoint  you all, but I'm doing great. Plenty of work, lots of stupid projects with a few gems here and there. The last couple of weeks have been very productive and I haven't had much time for anything else (guess that's bad right?), but at the same time I've been enjoy the fact that I'm getting things done and seeing results.

Also, I've realized that I don't like the X-mas/New Year's time as much as I used to anymore, so work is a good excuse!

I still have about 4 years, but I'm beginning to get a little weary about my choice of major.  I couldn't fucking stand working at the hospital.  I was a pharmacy intern, and we do essentially the same thing as a pharmacist, we just need them to check our work.  I just can't do it for the next 40 years.  I may go into some other healthcare related thing, but who knows at this point.

The Wire is a cop drama on HBO.  It's really good and unlike most cop dramas on TV because of its realism.  The cops don't always win, and it's pretty slow paced, but it's interesting as hell and really well written.  Each season is a single case, basically.  I'm on the third right now, I suggest checking it out, I grabbed the torrent in isohunt.

I didn't believe it, until I saw that the witch weighed as much as a duck.  Burn her!

I've just been working a lot. Applying to colleges. I tried for financial aid, but thats not going to happen I guess. I have a decent size savings account, so they pretty much told me to use that. Which I'm going to do. Not sure what I want to do yet, but I'm going to knock my general education stuff out.

Nothing really new with me though. Same ol' Same ol'.

I'm plodding along I suppose.  My application to the US Border Patrol is going well, I passed the written test which is sweet.  Now I have to sit and wait to see if I get a selection packet or not in the next few months.  Socially my life pretty much sucks right now.  Most of my friends are paired off in serious relationships, and the ones who aren't have moved away so I've been forced to sit through a whole lot more "game night" and discussions about the funny things my friends' dogs just did, and the hilarious little foibles about married life and living together than I thought I could ever handle... on second though it is more than I can handle, I fucking hate it.  Other than that, work gets a little worse every day, although I've got a nice bonus comming up in a couple weeks, and another one in march along with what I hope is a decent raise.

I'm part of a couple, but I can't even tell you how much I hate that crap.  It drives me insane and I'm pretty sure that I keep well, well away from it even with other couples most of the time, but definitely with my single friends.  Julia and I try pretty hard not to be those annoying people that think they're so cute and end up convincing themselves that people actually give a fuck.

Life is as unpredictable as ever but I think I like it that way.

I might disappear for a time.

God I hate couples. Couples that are socially aware that they are couples are some of the worst people in the world.

At least I'm not alone.

Not all couples are that way, in fact most aren't until you get them in a room with a bunch of other couples.  It is around that time that I would rather not be around.

I've also got a paper due three hours after that which I haven't started.

A on the paper, A in the class.

Back on topic: I've lived with multiple couples for a few years now, the ones that act like they are married. Talk about fucking annoying. I love girls, but no way I'm gonna act like that for one. Unless she is sexy as hell =)

Congrats on the paper! Wooh!

Haha I know what you mean man :P I have a lot of difficulty restraining myself from smacking the couples who think they know everything there is to know about relationships, and feel compelled to give relationship advice I didn't ask for, then comparing it to their relationship (often divulging all sorts of information I don't care to know). Normally I'm very civil around relationship talk, but that kind of couple seems to push my buttons every time.

You know what I hate about modern day couples? That they seem to think there are some invisible relationship rules they must adhere to. Does no one do anything from the freakin' heart anymore?

Well there's at least one unwritten rule that ought to be written and ratified for the few naïve guys out there :P

When a woman asks you "Do you think I'm fat?" (or any variation of the question) the simplest answer is "no." You may use any combination of words that say "no" i.e. "Not at all, my darling! In fact I think you look stunning!" Use you imagination. Under no circumstances should you say "yes" or try to avoid answering. Any gesture other than a clear "NO" may be taken as affirmation of her preconceived notion that she may indeed be "fat."

Hmm, now that I think about it I haven't heard the word "darling" in a long time until I pulled out my Beatles CD. I'm using that word more often with my lady! (when I get a lady)
