Title: UI skins for Warcraft
Post by: W7RE on Saturday, December 16, 2006, 04:31:26 PM
I've use dan undead gothic skin for a while now, and when this latest pach broke it I went looking for an update. I foudn that it was only broken because Blizzard changed the location the files needed to be in. I also discovered a couple other UI skins from the same guy.

Undead Gothic (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4296-T.KingUndeadGothicTheme.html)

Elfwood (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4381-T.KingsElfwoodforWorldofWarcraft.html)

Winterwood (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4408-T.KingsWinterwoodforWorldofWarcraft.html) - based off Elfwood

Holiday Lights addon for Winterwood (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4435-T.KingsHolidayLightsforWinterwood.html) - Intended to be installed on top of Winterwood, so install Winterwood first.

Castle Theme (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info4578-CastleInterfaceThemebyT.King.ZIP.html)

I don't think any of htese have been updated since the 2.0 patch, and the file path has changed I think. They still work just fine, because they're not really UI addons, but just art replacements. Any time you want to uninstall them, you just remove the files and the default skins will be used. The path you should be installing these to is:

World of Warcraft\Data\enUS]Interface\

Here's what my UI looks like currently (I thought the holiday lights were a bit much, and too blurry. Snowy is "holiday" enough for me) I'll go back to the Undead Gothic after the holidays.

That's actually quite awesome.  I would definitely consider using those if I started the game up again.

Wow, that will probably make me switch back to the default UI
