Sort of. I'm still messing with character customization. But after reading about it and such, it sounds like it's going to be awesome. A lot of my WoW buddies are getting into it. Might end up playing this when it comes out.

Interesting. I know someone else who is in the beta and he didn't really like it.

I'm really liking this game. I'm actually think I'll just play BC until this comes out, and go over to Vanguard. As a lot of my guildies in WoW seem to be wanting to do that. It's a lot of fun. It runs kind of crappy on my rig, but the game is just massive. It's really complex, and huge. Tons of things to do. I like the variety of all the classes. I've only played a Ranger, and a Necromancer at this point. Liking both of them. Getting ready to check out a Druid, or maybe a Blood Mage.
But yeah, check it out. It's really cool.

Oh, and did I mention you can build your own ship? I'm not sure exactly how, but you can make ocean going boats, offensive boats, and like small cargo boats. You can craft them at some point at a way higher level. I'm totally going to be a pirate.

I dunno', dude. Looking at the screenshots, I can't say I'm impressed. A few of the monsters look decent, but overall I really hate the art design. It's utterly bland, and nothing actually looks pretty. Might animate a lot better, but it would need to do something pretty impressive to make up for all that. It's generally a bad sign when a team can't even get a blatantly standard design right.
Anyway, I'm sure it's more fun than it looks, and I haven't tried it so it isn't like I have anything *real* to say about it, I was just surprised to see that even with what might be a better engine behind it, it looks a lot worse than WoW.

Interesting that you are liking it.
WoW is my first MMO, and after investing huge amounts of time into it over the last 6 months (2 60s, one 43, 2 30's, etc), I don't feel particularly motivated to learn how to play in a different "world", so to speak.
So maybe later down the road when I tire of WoW, but until then, long live the Alliance!

The game actually looks better in motion. Some places are bland, but for the most part, it's a really pretty game. And you have to realize how massive it is. I mean it's huge. So some places I expect to be a little bland. It's probably 3x-4x bigger than WoW. Like, I was at a starting place. I look out over a cliff, and see a huge city port on the water. I start making my way down the cliff toward the city, it took me all of 10 minutes to get down to the city from the cliff. And when you get down there, the city is ginormous. With a bunch of huge boats and stuff. It's really cool.

That sounds pretty neat. I'm definitely into huge areas, and I would probably take size over graphics. Still don't like the design, but if the game was fun I'm sure I could get passed that. Gah... don't tempt me into looking into this. Just really don't.

It's very similar to WoW. Even the interface is similar. The basic quests and such are pretty similar too. It's fun.
