Well it took me six to seven hours to finish, which means it would take any other person five. I take it slow in my games, and often reload firefights that I enjoyed particularly :P. I also take my time to admire all the pretty textures. :P
I had two complaints. I thought firstly it was ridiculously easy, especially with too many grenades and med packs available all over. My second complaint is a spoiler:
You spend the bulk of the game going after the Korean chick. When you finally get to her, you just simply find her dead after a lot of build up. It really ticked me off.
Anyway the last level was hella cool in terms of art design, but disappointingly there was little story telling. Also the expansion was a good reminder of how intense and visceral a shooter can be. As Gamespot said, firing a weapon is a highly violent action, and F.E.A.R. embraces it better than no other. I remember thinking how the original F.E.A.R. game spoiled me with its near perfect simulation of a fire fight. Here I am thinking that again.
For anyone considering this, it is basically more of the same and in the end is a typical shooter expansion.
Also I think F.E.A.R. is one of the one of the only shooters which can easily get away with having significant portions where you just walk without battle and soak in the atmosphere.

I found it scarier for some reason. But I agree, the ending sucked.
See, in the original there were serious "Holy shit!" moments for me. Things like when you go down a ladder and as the view points up just before you descend Alma is standing right there. Or you turn around at the bottom of the ladder and Paxton Fetel is right there (or was it Janikowsi?). Or when you come to a T-junction with a window and Alma is on the other side. You go around the T-junction thinking it's just one of those visions and she won't be there but she is right freaking there coming straight at you! Or near the end when the view is all scary/dreamy and blurry and old naked Alma is heading right at you and as she gets close she starts running with her arms extended.
There wasn't anything like that in Extraction Point. It was mostly those invisible dudes with red eyes, which didn't scare me much because they really weren't all that different from the invisible ninja drones. Or those weird looking guys that are either on the walls or in corners that just disappear when you get close. Or Alma just standing on the other side of a window or fence. While there was scary stuff, it didn't seem like most of it could hurt you or was penetrating your comfort zone. It was always on the other side of something, far away, harmless, or - in the case of the guys with red eyes - just not scary.
Now, on the other hand, the firefights were totally badass.
