About 2 weeks ago I ordered a Wii off eBay. Since I'm only gonna be living in Canada for another year or so, I decided to get a PAL (European) Wii.
The seller shipped the item through DHL and it arrived in Canada on January 27th. At that point, it was transferred to Canada Post. For some reason, instead of shipping it directly from Toronto to Kingston (where I live), which is a 3 hour drive at most, they put it on a plane to British Columbia. It took five days to get there, and once it did, they sent it all the way back to Montreal, which took another five days. Now, three days later, it's still in Montreal.
Basically, the Germans managed to ship it from Stuttgart to Toronto, about 6000 km, in three days.
The Canadians only had to ship it from Toronto to Kingston, 250 km, and it's taken them two weeks (and counting). It takes skill to be that bad.

They are pretty freakin' awful. I have a lot of clients in Canada and now insist on using courier services after all the snafus of the past few years. They suck.

Yea Canada Post is pretty lousy. Whenever I order stuff I usually choose other things other than Canada Post.

Heh, I read the title as "Canadian port is Shi'ite". I've been reading too much news lately.
Anyways, that sucks. The U.S. postal service is pretty top notch compared to the rest, it seems.

That's what I was thinking, except they wouldn't be able to play it since it's PAL ;)

Canada Post has sucked for a long time
they suck in a way that only big government business can.

What the fuck? They just sent it to Richmond, BC again!
And their customer service line is closed :(

Is Canada Post like the United States Postal Service? Not as in "sucks" but as in the national postal carrier? Just curious.
The USPS is pretty good. Not super fast, but not slow either, and quite reliable. They could use better tracking ability though.

USPS is actually quite fantastic most of the time.
I've experienced only a major issue with maybe five of the thousands of packages I've sent through them. The tracking is quite good and the updates are excellent on their website.
Canada Post can't even be bothered to let you know of anything.

Update:
Apparently the reason it keeps getting redirected to British Columbia is that the postal code they have on file for the package is V7L xxx (a BC postal code) whereas mine is K7L xxx. Still, you'd think that they would glance at the actual address and figure out that a package addressed to Ontario isn't supposed to go to BC...
