Interesting.  I haven't played my PSP in a couple of weeks now.  Just nothing new worth playing on it.  I kind of want to pick up Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops though.

So apparently Crush *is* awesome (http://www.gamespot.com/psp/action/crush/review.html?sid=6172041), and that makes me happy.  But damn it... I have no money.  STOP MAKING ME SPEND MONEY!!

Yeah, I saw this featured a couple weeks back on "On the Spot."  Looked really neat.  Hmm, I suppose I should get a job so I can afford shit like this.

Well, I picked it up.  First impressions?  Amazing!  We haven't had puzzle gaming this innovative in years.  You can really say you've never played anything like it, though it's still familiar and easy to pick up.  But the art and sound design is really what pushes it over the top.  It's a great little package.  $30 seems like a good deal.

EDIT - Also, having a plot in a puzzle game is really great.  The story segments are fun.  Short, often humorous, and with some great quirky, dark art.  Good voice acting, too.  It really keeps you moving forward (though I'm enjoying trying to go back and "master" each level with the trophy mode... which basically just means "do this level 100% perfectly in under xx seconds").

What? Sega made a good game?   What is this, 1996?

Well, Sega didn't make it.  Zoe Mode made it, Sega published it.  I think.

I absolutely fucking love it.  I really don't need to say much else.  It's obscenely hard to put down.. played it all day today off and on.  I can definitely tell that I'll want more levels at the end, but I'm really stretching it out by trying to get all the trophy and puzzle items (one unlocks the limited-time limited-crush mode, the other unlocks gallery images) and beat all the levels in the timed mode.  It's going to last me a good long while this way.

Also, the soundtrack is just amazing.
