Title: We were dead before the ship even sank
Post by: poomcgoo on Thursday, February 15, 2007, 06:47:10 PM
Modest Mouse's new album.  I just grabbed it, and while I wouldn't say I'm a huge Modest Mouse fan, it's definitely a throwback to freshman year when "Good News for People Who Love Bad News" was coming out of everybody's dormrooms.

Anyways, the first single, Dashboard, is great.  I love the main guitar riff.  There are a few other cool songs I heard, but I haven't really listened to it fully yet.  Anybody else grab this, or otherwise enjoy Modest Mouse?

It's already on the net?

Yeah, I've been listening to Dashboard, it's good stuff.

I enjoy the Modest Mouse and was a big fan of "GNFPWLBN". I shall definitely check out their new album.

Man, I was just thinking today about how I haven't heard Modest Mouse since, well, freshman year in my dorm. I'm gonna have to check it out.

Yeah, it's out.  I gave it another listen and I'm definitely digging it.  "Spitting Venom" is probably my favorite track, but I'm not sure yet.

I like the Mouse. While their previous album wasn't as good as their earlier ones, I liked it. I will check this one out. Isn't Johnny Marr playing on it?
