Original post:
It's in the works (http://til.gamingsource.net/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1172210706/10). It looks like I'm also probably going to get signed on with the Imperial Library guys to do some editing as well, which is a good thing. They have fantastic info on all the TES stuff, but some of it isn't so well written. Some of it, on the other hand, is fantastic, but that just makes the worse stuff seem all the less intelligible. So, yeah... looks like I'm going to be a little busy.

I like this idea very much.
And let us know when it's done, so we can download this dictionary mod/plug-in.
It'd be cool if in your mod, there was a quest built around finding one of this dictionaries in the game, as well.
-
Heh, well it isn't going to be "done" possibly ever, let alone any time soon. I highly doubt I'd be able to finish such a massive project even within a year, especially not with new stuff getting added all the time. But I'll keep you updated on milestones, or if there are any mod happenings. The mod part is definitely not the focus, it would just be a cool thing to do once there's an at least relatively whole dictionary.

Is there a project adding books to Oblivion, like Project Gutenberg books? You wouldn't want full novels, but short stories would be cool to find laying around.
-
Not that I know of. I wouldn't really see the point given how much of that is already in there. There's tons of short stories and such, and I can guarantee you I haven't read half of the books provided in Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion.
EDIT - I mean, seriously, take a look at that list (http://til.gamingsource.net/mwbooks/). It's crazy! I know there have been mods out there that added a book or two here or there, but I feel like it would just get in the way of what's already there.

Good stuff Que!

Awesome! You have our support Que! (I'm not speaking on behalf of anyone I've just recently begun to refer to myself in plural).

You go girl!

I think you're insane, but at least you can do this while you're supposed to be working and not while you're supposed to do other cool stuff. Maybe this will stave off some of that insanity.
-
People who get really into TES games *are* insane. You should see what some of these people have written. It's easy to pass the games off as typical fantasy stuff until you actually see how much shit is really in there. It's mind-boggling. It's almost deeper than Tolkien. If it was books instead of games, I think it would be.
