Anyone seen this movie that's now in theatres????
-
I hear it's actually really good. David Fincher's a pretty good director and this looks very interesting. I don't know if I'll see it in theaters though.
It's also got like close to a 3 hour runtime.

I've always been interested in the real story there, but have a feeling it will get a bit fucked up (READ: Black Dahlia). I'll probably rent or download it.
-
Keep in mind that this movie isn't really so much about the killer as it is about the lives of the investigators and how this case affected them and those around them.

Really? I haven't really looked into it, but from the preview I got the feeling it was going to be some sort of alternative history fiction thing where they actually caught him. I don't know why.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick of seeing movies about unsolved murders. I can just as easily get the true story in an hour, for free on the History Channel when a special comes on.

I saw it tonight. I loved it! Fincher did a great job directing. The performances were all very even, everyone put in a good one. I loved the killing sequences, very Hitchcockian (or De Palma) and pretty creepy stuff. Overall I give it big thumbs up. It's very engrossing, if a bit a long.

Paul Clinton had some good things to say about it.

I just finished watching this movie on DVD.
Yeah, really good movie.
And that's to say the very least.

Yea, I just watched it and it was a really good flick. My only concern when first watching the movie was the ending, wasn't sure how they were going to end it due to the history. The last third of the movie I felt sort of dragged cause I knew where it was going, but I ended up being satisfied with the way it ended.
