Title: I can't give anyone the finger for a while. Hell I even had trouble typing this.
Post by: Pugnate on Monday, March 12, 2007, 07:06:31 AM: My monitor had a fault so I was taking it back to exchange it. When I was picking up the box I didn't notice a staple sticking out. I also didn't notice the staple end going into the tiny gap between my index finger nail and the flesh beneath. As I lifted the box I suddenly felt the full weight of the monitor as it transferred to the staple gorging painfully.

And it weally weaaly hurts. :(

I am only thankful that I cut my nails yesterday so by the time I need to do so again this should be less painful.

But we do take things for granted. I wonder what will go first when I hit 130.

Back in 1985, during the superbowl when the Bear won, I was crawling under the coffee table and caught my foot on a staple. Ripped my foot open and I had to get stitches, which is the only time I've ever had stitches. Hurt like hell, so now whenever I see an open staple just sitting somewhere (esp on the floor) it creeps me out.

Dude, there was a superbowl with a bear in it? How did I miss that?

And on topic - ow, pug. =T I've had similar things happen... horribly painful. Sounds like yours was much worse than anything I've experienced.

The poor finger looks odd and stands out. I think the only solution is to hurt the rest of my fingers.
