PSP can, though. (http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=23597)
Is producing a Wii game something Bethesda would like to do?
It's something we'd like to do, but unfortunately it's not a very good fit with Oblivion. Oblivion is a very demanding game hardware-wise and in terms of graphics processing and raw horsepower. It's not something the Wii was designed to do. They decided not to make the focus on raw horsepower but on interface and so forth.
It's a great console and many of us at Bethesda have one but I know that bringing Oblivion over is not possible - we'd have to do a whole new game.
Is that something you're considering?
It's something we've talked about, but I don't think you could say we're considering it. It's not in our immediate future - maybe something we'll look at somewhere down the road.
What about the PSP version of Oblivion? Is that still due in spring?
It's still in the works; the release date at the minute is TBC. It's a completely different development track. It basically uses nothing from Oblivion, it's a completely new game.
Sony must give bigger money hats or something. Sure Oblivion on PSP is supposed to be more hack and slash, but...wiimote! Swords! DO THE MATH!

But they already do portable stuff. There are a bunch of ES cell games and stuff. I think the PSP thing is just going to be an extension of that.

Probably.

Yeah, the PSP version is supposed to be just a dungeon crawler.
-
Yea gotta say, the PSP version looks pretty lame.
-
Is there anything on the PSP since Loco Roco that isn't lame? I'm completely out of touch. The thing is literally collecting dust on my shelf.

I'm telling you people, Dax's hacked firmware is the way to go.
-
Oh, I have no doubt that there's a lot of worthwhile activity on our wide-open PSPs. But I meant new PSP games. It's like a black hole for all I know.

There's been a few good games...
MGS: Portable Ops
Ratchet and Clank
Killzone Liberation
and a few others I believe. I don't have any of them except Killzone. My PSP is collecting dust as well.

Likewise. That's why I decided to take the risk and make the leap to the other firmware. There's little to nothing worth playing on it at this point, but the ability to put PS games on it is just amazingly good stuff.
