I've been using Vista Ultimate for the past few days and will post my impressions in a day or so. But as evil as M$ is, I have decided to side with the devil in hopes that PC gaming continues to survive and thrive. All this negative crap is worrisome.

Meanwhile two games that have been released (C&C3 and STALKER) have been noted in reviews as to having issues running on Vista. Yeah I'm not upgrading for a long time.

Yea I am dual booting at the moment myself. I don't see myself really using it for another couple of years. Unfortunately gaming really sucks on Vista.

We beat this to death in the other thread.  It sucks to be a Windows gamer now.  XP for me as far as I can see into the future.

I'm switching to Linux permanently on my laptop that I use at school over the summer.  My uber gaming desktop that is collecting dust at home still has a copy of Windows XP, and likely will for some time.

I was using Ubuntu for about two weeks straight.  But I just couldn't find a suitable Dreamweaver replacement for Gnome (there is one for KDE) so I had to crawl back to Windows.

My copy of Vista Business upgrade has arrived for my laptop just yesterday.  I'm probably gonna install it in the next couple of weeks, once the semester is over, since I can't afford to lose functionality on my laptop at this time.
