Go read and enjoy (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/adventure/clivebarkersjericho/news.html?sid=6169272&tag=topslot;title;2&om_act=convert&om_clk=topslot). I can't stinking wait for this.

I already liked the looks of the game, which we saw in thisthread[ (http://www.overwritten.net/forum/index.php?topic=655.0).
Now, we got some good more than screenies. Nice!!! :)
As you'd expect, the puzzles and combat in Jericho all revolve around using the right characters in different situations. From what we could tell during the demo, Jones can help the team get past obstacles by using enemies to pull switches, while Black is the most useful person in a long-range firefight as she can take out multiple enemies with her bullet control. We saw one example in which Roman Centurions were moving in a series of 10 steps before popping their heads above their shields, which gives Black a perfect opportunity to take them all out at once. There are multiple ways of tackling these situations: Delgado can use his extreme physical strength to take out a bunch of enemies, while Church can move faster to avoid attack.
Sounds cool to me -- that all the characters have their very own skills and that is it.
Each of the three platforms is set to offer all the same features, which you'd expect given that Jericho will have no multiplayer options. It's quite a brave move for a first-person shooter not to offer some sort of online mode, but it's clear that Jericho's focus is on the single-player game. Likewise, the developers seem reticent to make any use of the Sixaxis' motion-sensitive features. Thankfully, though, there's good news in that there are plans to release one of the levels we saw as a demo in the run-up to release.
No MP???? Wow, that's daring for an FPS, actually....
It's be cool if they, at a later time, release a Co-Op MP Mode and you can play the "campaign" online. That'd rock....One person could be Church, another be Black, etc etc....
Since I'm on that subject, y'know, I hope we see more MP's go the route of The Crossing, in which the "game campaign" can be played solo or MP -- but, of course, more games doing that w/out coming w/ STEAM.

Wow. This sounds more amazing than I originally anticipated!
-
This game has been a long time coming, hasn't it? I remember someone posting a preview on AOG.
-
You're probably thinking of the project he was working on that got scrapped, Demonik.
-
Yup I realized that when I read the preview. I am surprised Undying didn't sell well. I found the gameplay to be above average, but the atmosphere and the art of the visuals to be highly attractive. I feel like reinstalling it now.
-
You know... who in the fuck is Clive Barker? I mean yeah I know about Undying, but who is this guy that he gets to put his name on games like this? I've never heard of him outside of Undying and Jericho.
-
Go read some of his books, the games are based on his books. Clive Barker has been writing books for along time. Maybe you should look this stuff up before asking questions.
-
OMG a Wetta sighting!
Also Scottws, I've talked about having issues with certain people like John Romero and American McGee sticking their names on a product like it means something, but Barker is a pretty prolific writer. He combines horror with inter dimensional fantasy and sexuality. OK that sounds like every other horror fiction, but Stephen King regards him highly (I am not a fan of King, just saying).
Attaching Clive Barker's name to games inspired by his work makes sense because his fans would enjoy the visualization of his writing.
Here are some McFarlane figurines based on Barker's work.

They may be a bit disturbing.

Yea, it's quite interesting, I didn't know who Clive Barker was either.

I have a love/hate thing with Barker. Some of his work is complete ass, but when he's at his best, he's really damned good. After playing Undying, which was amazing, I can't wait for this. His influence on the former was, I think, what really pushed it over the top and made it incredible.
-
It was one of the few games to use the Unreal engine, when the rest of the world was going berserk on the Quake III. I wonder what engine Jericho will be using... Unreal Warfare or the modified Doom III?
-
Whatever it is, it looks sexy as all get out.
-
This game looks pretty cool so far and I did a little research into Undying and it looks neat, I'll need to give that game a shot sometime soon.
-
Kick-ass trailer! (http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/782/782243p1.html)
-
Definitely, definitely try Undying. One of the best shooters ever made.
And the trailer was okay. Nothing too special, but it looked neat.

I'm guessing Undying would be hell to find; I ain't seen it in stores in years.
Probably would have to look at EBay, from Amazon.com users, or somethin'...
-
Hell is relative. No, you won't find it in a store, but I'm sure you can find it all over the place online if you look. And it's worth every penny of whatever you pay.
-
Let me check to see where it is lying around. I'll give it away if anyone wants it. It was a reviewers copy whee.

Sure no worries.
