For me this was one of the top three movies I've seen that came out last year. Possibly the movie the most open to interpretation that I've seen, but not in that shitty Mulholland drive nothing makes sense because it's a dream and they don't either to kind of way (thrown in just to jab at MyD).
I don't know if there's an actual intended interpretation going on, but right after watching it I could think of a bunch of different impressions it was trying to give and was quite satisfied with all of them.
I strongly suggest everyone see it, although I have a feeling alot of people won't like it.

I loved The Fountain, but me being the music junkie that I am, what I came away from it noticing most was how perfect and moving the soundtrack was (a soundtrack that I now have on my PC and semi-worship the creator of).
-
I've been meaning to see it... Julia and I wanted to catch it in theaters but ended up missing it for some reason. We'll have to try it soon.
-
Uhh... i thought it was boring.
-
Why? Is this movie about you?

Why is this movie about you?
I'm rubber and you're glue.

hahaha... Man I grew up with the Monkey Island games. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck would chuck wood?
No Keebler, not that kind of wood.

As did I. Man, they were great. Reminds me, I found this (http://www.scummbar.com/community/games/swordfighting/) that may addict you.
-
hahaha I am going to be forwarding that to my cousins.
Did you play the last Monkey Island, that went 3D?
-
Yeah. It was okay, but 2 is where it was at.
-
I never got around to it, which is why I was wondering. 2 was the one with the shameless LOOM promoting I think. :P
I want some grog.
-
I still haven't gotten any of them on my PSP with SCUMMVM, but hopefully soon. Sam & Max works like a charm.

I love the Fountain and Monkey Island.

Good man.

Very interesting movie. Gonna take a bit to process. I loved the imagery, though. One part I thought was cool/funny
Near the end when the guy drinks from the tree, and that turns out to be a bad thing. Did anyone else think of Grim Fandango when that happened? I was like "The dude just got sprouted!"
Also, Monkey Island rules.

I didn't like The Fountain.
I was bored stiff, watching this flick.

I picked up the graphic novel version on Free Comic Book Day (Not free, but half price!), and it's an interesting take on it. I prefer the movie, I think, but the music really adds to the mood of the movie.
