Just for the community there. Meet up with old friends (if they are still around.)
But sitewise, there doesn't seem to be much of an advantage these days.

Meh.
There are VERY few people still around. Additionally, there are lacking communities. Most of the PCCB that replaced you all has left for their own board system, as has the Xbox Community boards. Both of those boards are now totally dead. For example, the last thread on the first page of the PCCB is 6 months old. There hasn't been a post on that board in 3 days. And the only posts are when non members come in and try to get technical help with something.
People seem to be gradually moving away from IGN.
That said, getting a month subscription to try and see if some people are back may not be a bad idea. I am only there because my subscription that I got for being a mod a while ago hasn't run out yet. They won't remod me, citing that they are having plenty of moderators already. Personally, I think it's bullshit. But oh well.

They wont remod you? Weird. I dont do anything around there and I'm still a mod.

Damnit! Everyone left? That's horrible because IGN destroyed its own community. They are still functioning with a prehistoric message board system, and are kicking out quality contributers out of greed for getting more Insider fees.
It is a pity they won't remod you.
No wonder you hang out here more often. :D

Well, I meant IGN and its community both suck... I guess I should have clarified. Maybe that just sounds like trolling, but I really hate those people. Seriously. Every time I go there I feel like I need a drink.
