And freaking dry? I can't even paint because anything I put on my palette dries within minutes and gets chunky ugly all quickly. It sucks.
-
yeah..it hit the upper 90's down here. I stayed indoor while i was at work opting to skip lunch so i wouldnt have to walk in the heat. Luckily my company keeps the building at a nice and cool 68 degrees.
-
68? That's like the fucking Arctic! You remind me of my old boss at the ice company. I'd freeze so I'd go over to the thermostat and bump it up to 71 or 72 and next thing I knew it would be at 68 again. It was almost like a game to see who could change the temperature without the other noticing.
-
I wish it was 68 here. Right now my thermomater says it's like 82 in my freaking room.
-
I wish we had dry heat here right now, its much better than the humid heat we get in Texas, its been in the upper 90s with high humidity for a few days now.
-
Fuck your 82. It was over 100 in my apartment today. And Scott, if you think 68 is freezing I think you must have circulation problems. Buy some magnets and go call a doctor.
-
Well fuck you back.
It seems the fans and windows finally did their job about an hour ago and cooled the room down to 75ish, so I managed to get some painting done. I'm happy, now the trick will be getting to sleep. I had a hell of a time last night.
-
Get a room you two.
Also if the temperatures remain high during the winter, then oil prices might come down.
-
Oh Jesus..its going to reach 103 here today... i am not setting foot outside
-
And the rest of world breathes a sigh of relief.
It is pretty damn hot here as well, and humid. At least I have air conditioning here, but electricity is expensive.
-
It's around 68-70 outside here right now. It's tough. The birds are chirping and the sun is out. I may go lounge in the sun room, enjoy the weather.
:-[
-
Eh, it's like 85 here. Not bad at all actually.
-
Well fuck you back.
Hey, I didn't say fuck you. I said fuck your apartment. There's a difference. I demand an apology, and a substantial payment of tribute.
-
school feels like hell
especially in econ where both our doors are open and the fire breath of satan circulates all period
-
I give you enough shit... and you insult my apartment? I don't think it wants me to open the door for you again.
-
I wasn't insulting your apartment. I was complimenting it indirectly.
-
Man this conversation is HEATED. Get it? Ha ha.....ha...... :-\
*cough*
-
That joke had a lukewarm reception.
-
It was actually downright frosty.
-
Well I think your full of hot air.
-
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.
Look, what I did was an act of mercy.
-
Stop pretend fighting bitches.
Take example from the hatred I have for Keebler.
-
I don't understand Fahrenheit.. Celsius anyone? :P
-
Celsius is for chumps and eurotrash.
-
Celsius is for chumps and eurotrash.
also, fuck the metric system
-
The 'C' is for "Centigrade". It's centigrade, as in 100 degrees between ice and steam. "Celsius" is kiss-ass political bullshit.
-
...what?
-
;D

-
Now do you see why we like the Fahrenheit scale?
-
Actually, Centigrade makes more sense, in the spirit of the metric system. I just thought I'd join in all the ranting fun.
The only C temps I'm familiar with are 37-41. In Puerto Rico, weather is handled under the American system, so I'm used to Farenheit for that. But medicine falls under Centigrade. 37 is the normal human temperature. 41 is a boiling-hot fever that might kill you. 39 is bad enough to keep you home from school.
-
All I know is -40.
-
(-40)*9/5 + 32 = -40

We only follow the American measurement of temperature
...in America.
-
Like a chameleon. An American chameleon.
-
Well I just did the temperature conversions...
I would kill to have a 90F temp.
Here the temperature is typically 40-45C which is 104-113F. Currently it is 43C.
In Saudi Arabia it is even worse... plus 80% humidity in Saudi Arabia.
Air conditioners are mandatory. My room temperature before turning the AC on is about 40-42 which is 105-108. After I turn the AC on it takes a couple of hours for it to go down to 16C which is 60.8F
I can't sleep unless the temp is at 16-18 C which is 60-64F... unfortunately the voltage comes in a little low during the summer. However I've replaced all four ACs with split ACs instead of window ACs. They use up far less voltage.

-
16C inside to 40+ outside? That's a hell of a temperature change. Just force yourself to adapt. In summer my room is usually around 35C, and as a result I can now handle the 40 degree heat fairly easily.
-
No that's just when I am sleeping heh. Normally inside it is about 35C. Electricity is really expensive here so I can't use the ACs all the time.
