-
They finally got Bin Laden? Why'd he change his name?
-
If there was ever a reason to believe in God, its so Falwell will have a hot spot in Hell.
-
For those who know not who he is (http://youtube.com/watch?v=MyE5wjc4XOw), and want a good laugh also.
-
Good riddance. RIP.
-
i hope he realised, in his last few moments, what a total douche he was. failing that, i hope he suffered.

Despite being a Christian, I can't say I was ever much of a fan. My life will be no different.

Um . . . wow! I'm definitely not a fan of Mr Moral Majority, but I don't harbor much hostility towards him. He was successful for about 50 years. What more can a guy ask? We all have to go sometime.

Sucessful at being a professional hate monger.

Jerry Falwell on 9/11:
"I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"
Jerry Falwell on AIDS:
"AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals."
Jerry Falwell on MLK:
"I do question the sincerity and non-violent intentions of some civil rights leaders such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Mr. James Farmer, and others, who are known to have left wing associations."
And now I am bored.

Hitler or Falwell? (http://nom-de-grr.livejournal.com/51142.html)

That's good. It's hard to tell who belongs to what quote.
Like all other religious zealots, I never listened to anything Falwell had to say. I do remember the stink in the news when he said aids is God's punishent against homosexuals. That attitude didn't surprise me, considering what fundamentalism really is--an arrogant, myopic view based on mysticism, which admits no competition. Falwell is not alone in thinking aids is God's wrath, I guarantee you that.
Anyway, I had no idea the guy was so caustic. No wonder he's so reviled.
