And apparently even a dipshit monkey fuck like Kevin VanOrd can identify a good game every now and again (http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/strategy/grimgrimoire/review.html).
I guess it's something of a take on the RTS genre but with its own unique twists, and it sounds really compelling... not to mention it looks bloody amazing. Very reminiscent of Odin Sphere, I think. I'm definitely going to have to pick this one up.
The great PS2 games just keep rolling in, eh?

Yeah, I've been eyeing this one for a while--glad to hear it has turned out well. Also, apparently this particular publisher is pretty good about supply, as opposed to Atlus who tends to ship out three or four shipments max. In other words, no huge hurry to get the game.
By the way, what's with the Kevin VanOrd disparagement, Que? I only know him from the GS tournaments and he seems like a decent enough guy.

If I'm not mistaken he was the one who trashed Dawn of Mana and Que highly disagreed with his review of that game. There may be other reasons I'm not aware of though.

Nope, that's it. And also because he was playing it live during one of the video shows and plainly had absolutely no idea how you're supposed to play the game, which leads me to believe that he didn't like the game mostly because he's an idiot. My theory is, of course, driven straight into the ground given that most other members of the gaming press didn't like it either... but they're all dipshit monkey fucks, I tell you.
