I can't find the damn link in my RSS reader. Theres supposed to be a video of Kojimas reaction to hearing this piece for the first time. It was composed in the 70s.

I can definitely hear some similarities but I don't think its plagarism like some of the tools on YouTube are saying it is.  Also Kojima didn't compose the theme either like some of the YouTube idiots are saying, Harry Gregson-Williams did.

Yeah, its not plagiarism, but the similarities are pretty striking.

Never read youtube comments. Its like the worst mind of the internet that post there.

Yeah, hardly plagarism there.

Still, it makes me want to go find more music by the original guy.

Edit: Watching the Youtube thing... they seem to have done that in kind of a dickish way. It was almost like, "Hey look, some dude in our country did something similiar first. You suck." Although, I don't know how else it would have been done and it's not like they showed how the rest of the interview lead up to that.
