Haha, that's awesome. Speaking as a married man, I've gone through that on several occasions. Fortunately for me, my wife plays games, so I'm generally able to more or less just bribe her after the fact by showing her all the cool stuff she'll get to play. That kind of worked for the PC (though that was a different ball of wax, really), worked pretty darn well for the 360, and will likely work again for the PS3 (which I think she'll want as much as me once the PS2 dies). It didn't work for the PSP because that was basically just mine, but she has the DS in the family so that sort of makes up for it. The Wii is the biggest problem because, well... she can't play it. Her condition makes it pretty much impossible to use for more than a few minutes. As it is she can only play games with a controller for maybe 3 hours without feeling like somebody hit her hands with a bat.

I've been reading Basic Instructions for a while. It's pretty damn hilarious.

I've gone through that too. Women don't usually understand the appeal of videogames. Expensive purses and clothes they get, but not games. PCs and consoles can't be justified, only negotiated.

"The shoes you bought cost just as much, and you buy them far more often!"
"But I needed new shoes to go with the new dress."
"Am I the only one that sees the downward spiral here?"

That guy's wife is ugly. How unfortunate.
