Title: Fortress Forever released
Post by: idolminds on Thursday, September 13, 2007, 01:18:06 PM
Fortress Forever (http://www.fortress-forever.com/)

Team Fortress on the Source engine. More a port of TFC than what TF2 is, so hopefully it finds its audience.

Does it integrate with Steam in any way or is it like a separate entity?  I can't tell based on the website.

Edit:  I can't find a link to a torrent on the link idol gave, at least for the regular client.  But I did find one on mininova.org.  FYI.

Looks like HL2 doesn't even need to be downloaded/installed.  It just needs the Steam SDK Base.

Well, I tried to play this a bit today, and it has that same old Source engine problem... it stutters a lot.  I was in a firefight and the game basically paused for like 2 seconds and then I was dead.  Yeah, could be lag, but I had no problem in ET:QW.
