I don't know much about tycoon and management games, but I know Pug is a big fan of Sid Meier. Personally I loved Sid Meier's Pirates!, but that's about it. I couldn't get into Civilization, Alpha Centauri, or Sid Meier's Golf.

This guy can put his name on anything and it will sell a bazillion copies.

Yeah, even though most if his games aren't my type of game, it's all top notch quality! I love the sense of quality I see in the games, but I can never really play them (except for Pirates!) As far as I've seen they come with minimal bugs too!

You didnt like his Golf game? That game rocked.

Well, I hate Golf and I don't like tycoon games, put the two together and it's a game I'll surely avoid. Regardless, I did end up trying it out, and it just wasn't my kinda game. I really appreciated its quality and features, I just couldn't enjoy it as a game. It's kinda the same thing with 'Sports Manager' games, I can't enjoy them coz they seem more like tedious office work than a "fun" game.
If my memory serves me, Pug LOVED Sid Meier's Golf! hehe :D

Ive yet to play Pirates, I know something is wrong with me. I loved his golf game, I still have the copy Sy gave me. I had blast with it.

I think I really enjoyed Pirates! because it was focused on an individual character, rather than being a full fledged mass management game. The management was really only for managing your crew and resources, but everything else was basically tactics or puzzle gameplay.
-
Pirates! was awesome. I didn't even know he made a golf game, though.
-
Civilization really impacted me long time ago, only boring part are latter game 60 unit armies with slow turns... that was boring, specially on civ 3 :P
-
Eh, not so sure I'd be interested in this if it is anything like Railroad Tycoon. I hated that game.
-
I thought I'd never touch anything involving golf, until Sid Meier touched the subject. To be fair, it wasn't exactly a golf game... it was more of a golf resort management game, where you designed your own resident golf pro and could simulate a bit of golf. But I loved that game.
Similarly I can't see myself liking a Railroads Tycoon game, but it is Sid Meier.

Hahaha Sid Meier could convince you to do anything :P
"I can't see myself falling in love with a man, but it is Sid Meier."
Hehe, he does make quality games though ;D
