Title: ebay Desktop app
Post by: idolminds on Thursday, October 11, 2007, 05:05:17 PM
Neato (http://desktop.ebay.com/)

Still in beta and all that, also requires Adobe Air (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air.html). I've been messing with some Air apps recently and its a cool little runtime thingy.

The ebay desktop app is...ebay. On your desktop. So you can search for items and place bids and junk. Reminds me of the Mozilla Amazon Browser addon for Firefox. Just a specialized thing for searching the site.

I've heard about that Adobe Air thing (though I think I heard of it called something else).  It's supposed to really start blurring the line between desktop and web app.

Yeah, it used to be called Apollo.
