I obviously disagree with many of this thoughts on the vastly overrated HL2 experience in general, but everything else he says pretty much sounds like what I currently think having not yet played any of the stuff (i.e. TF2 is what it is, HL2E2 is more HL2 but doesn't really do anything terribly interesting beyond that, and Portal is a couple hours of pure gaming heaven).  Seems about right to me.... and it was funny to boot.
