Predictable.  Does anyone actually watch these?  Or Spike, for that matter?

BEST SOUNDTRACK
  Rock Band (MTV Games/ Harmonix)

I think if your game is all licensed music that you shouldn't win an award for it.

I didn't watch it last year, no -- even knowing Oblivion won GOTY.

About Spike TV, I only watch it namely for TNA Wrestling on Thurs.

They did give another award for Best Score....

Can you really call the Orange Box a game?

Nooo!  Don't bring that up.  It will start an argument again.

You can't.  The end.

Also, BioShock doesn't come close to winning best original score.  It had good music, but much of its strength was the licensed stuff, and while several of the original tracks were absolutely stunning, there wasn't nearly enough of it to make up for how much of it was just trying to be spooky or atmospheric or whatever.

I must have missed it.  I don't know what you are talking about.

Edit:  I could have sworn this went further than that one post and my reply.  Maybe in a different topic?

Haha, the first thing that jumped out at me was a bit of unintentional foreshadowing:

I think it's a load of bullshit that they're even "reviewing" a pack of games in the first place.  That infuriates me.  You don't review a fucking pack of games, especially not the way GSpot is doing it with the awards and stuff.  It's entirely nonsensical and I'll say it again: Gerstmann needs to go.

Journalism my ass.

Ha!  Yeah, I saw that too, and did a double-take.  Looks like Que got his wish.  It's all his fault!

Heh.  Well, it's hard to say if that direction was really Gerstmann's fault now.  I mean, it isn't like things are going to change, and most likely he was being pushed into it by someone else.  If that's the case, I feel sort of bad for saying it in retrospect.

Orange Box isn't a PC game. It's a compilation of games.

So, if Orange Box is to get some sort of an award, it should get  2007's Best Compilation Pack Award or some shit.

Gamecock interrupt Levine's acceptance of GOTY award. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIDDAtVLRZw)  I don't know if this was considered funny or just disruptive (which it obviously is).  After seeing how the winner was announced, the show gets no respect from me anyway.  I'm sorry Levine even attended.  Serves him right?

Who the fuck is gamecock?

But beyond that, I can't blame Spike TV.  Look at the target demographic.

I disagree with cobra. Winners should always be announced via bodypaint on a naked chick.

The show was worth watching for the acceptances by the Harmonix guys. You know the chick who pretends to be intensely stupid on the behind the scenes video on GH2? She was smashed.
