Post by: MysterD on Saturday, December 15, 2007, 06:57:40 PM
So, there's a new contest where you are to write a story based off the game, The Witcher -- you have until Jan 5, 2008 to write a story based off The Witcher. (http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=7065.0)

Sounds cool, to me!

Hmm... I dunno'!  It would be fun to participate, but at the same time, I don't really care that much about winning the book.  I'd planned on buying it hardback from the UK when I had enough money, unless somebody got me the paperback for Christmas or something (doubtful).  I really wanted the damned Wolf medallion from the last contest, but... =T

I think it's going to be fun to participate.
I didn't do a comic, but I'll definitely whip up something for this -- since I love to write and all.

Still debating on how long/short I will actually make it.

So then The Witcher was like "Man, I am so tired after slaying all those monsters. I could surely go for some booze, gambling, and loose women!"

But instead he went to sleep. The end.

"Sleep" caused from the booze? :P
And with which "loose woman" did he "went to sleep" with? :P

Que, did you start this at all? Do you plan to?

I got 7 pages done, so far.

Still got more to go.

Not really.  I don't have nearly enough time to waste.  The comic was one thing, a short story is another.  Plus I don't even give a shit about the prize since it's something I can easily get on my own anyway.

If you don't mind me asking -- how long did it take you to make the comic?

I dunno'... hour and a half or something.

Good deal, bro.

I just finished my story.

It's around 20 pages (typed and double-spaced) in MS Word, approximately.

I just now need to do the usual stuff, after it's all done and all -- some proofreading and reading it and all all; spelling-checks, grammar-check, and all of that necessary clean-up work.
