maybe if you find a server and I join?  Sorry about the late reply...was playing DoD.

No worries ;D

I'll have to try in about 8 hours (after work) when I'm back at home.

It doesn't really matter all that much since the fastest server that shows up for me is around 400 latency and it's usually empty anyway. It's best if you join the most optimal server for you and if I'm in luck I'll be able to join.

Multiplayer in this country is retarded. I can't believe people here are still playing Counter-Strike.. The old one.. Not even CS: Source.

haha... I know.... it is beyond retarded.

All the gaming places here have people playing that game... and like you said... it isn't even source!!!!

Seriously! Why the Hell are our countries so backwards?? There have got to be more people like us! More up-to-date gamers! More technology! More sexy women with experimental desires!

I've noticed that even with MMORPG's (at least the free ones) I'm having a hard time finding servers with 'decent' latency. Many are playable but not optimal.

You guys do you realize TF2 is basically just a remake of a game originally conceived back in 1996, right?

My comment was simply in reference to the jab at people still playing the old Counterstrike.  I mean, I don't even like CS, but I found the comment funny.

TF2 is a complete visual overhaul. Even if the gameplay is the same, there is something new at the table. It is nicer to look at, which is important. Plus I don't think most of us played TF in years anyway.

The thing with TF2 is that we'll play it a few months and then move on to something new and different.

People at these PC rooms have been playing Counter Strike for 8 years, and it is like an obsession. It is very irritating when there are so many awesome new multiplayer experiences out there, that they won't even try.

When it comes to RTS games, they are still playing StarCraft! While the gameplay still holds up, I wish they'd try Company of Heroes or SupCom.

BTW GPW, my STEAM ID is Pugnate. Add me, and we can possibly play sometime.

I agree with you.  The comment was just made in jest.

Unthinkable!  I should be ashamed.  And possibly shot.

haha... in other news I tried to join GPW on TF2 and I couldn't because it had to update again.

HAhaha Man, one of Steams little double-sided blades. Hmm, I wish I had a 5 Mb/s connection.

Well for CS: Source it was merely a cosmetic tune-up. With TF2, it was a little more than just visuals (although they were radically changed). The gameplay in TF2 differs slightly than the original, but it is built on the same premise.

You are used to saying that, aren't you?

I believe "extend" is the key word here.
