Jeez. Those people really are insane. If somebody asked me to pay that, I think I'd find the nearest blunt object and beat them to death just on general principle.

2 months as a gift?!!?! That's funked up. I just worked out how much that would be for me in my current place... boy that's a lot of money!

I doubt they have any. Maybe don't live in Tokyo? I don't know if the rules are different outside the area or not. Still, the fact that anyone could expect that kind of money for a shitty apartment is beyond crazy.

Oh, well that explains why most of my friends in Japan live either in Osaka or its suburbs.
