Resolutions?
I'm just happy I survived 2007. and I'm praying 2008 won't be as hard or challenging.. but tough luck to that i guess.
some resolutions:
1. Go back to studying - maybe work on my other pending diploma.
2. Stay healthier.
3. Get at least 1 or 2 of the major outstanding questions in my life answered.
-
I'm one of those skinny boys with crazy-fast metabolisms who has to try not to lose weight. I could stand to gain 10 to 15lbs and caf food is all you can eat. 10lbs before the school year ends (April) is probably not doable but a goal nonetheless.
The other one is study related. I need to get into the habit of going to all my classes and opening the books earlier on in the term. University has been quite easy so far so I'm doing well without much effort but I imagine that'll change the further I go on.
-
1. Keep lifting, start cardio, get REAL abs
2. Become a good love-maker
3. Improve confidence
4. Be able to confront people
5. Get an internship in DC
Yeah, I think that is about it. Not bad for a 1 minute list.
-
I'd make a list but I'm pretty sure I'd fail by Jan 2nd.

A New Year's Resolution, eh?
Damn, I dunno', but I am getting tired of being single and lonely...
-
hmmm Leave the country even if it's for a holiday, and to stop wasting time regarding this girl.
-
No resolutions. I hope to improve all aspects of my life. I make no promises that I'll end up breaking.
I wish everyone a healthy, happy 2008.
-
I normally don't make new years resolutions, partly because I'm always trying to work toward one or two goals.
Currently:
1. Keep my job. (only two more big hurdles and 4 tests to go....)
2. Meet new people in my new hometown, namely females who will have sex with me. No Fatties.
-
no resolutions, but happy new years! just got back from a party, had fun, etc. how'd it all go with you?
-
Definitely gonna stay sober, Ive made it over the major hurdle and I am able to stay alchohol free much easier now and I aim to keep it that way. That and probably eat healthier.

It 10:23pm, still Dec 31st. Ain't hit New Year's '08 yet.
I'm bored and lonely. Last year's was much better, since I was actually w/ my g/f back then and all...

Right on, dude. I'm with you on that, especially eating better. I've been trying to do that for a while now... Christmas has been hard, like it always is. Hoping to start getting back on track now that all the celebrating is over. I broke down and smoked two packs of cigarettes over the last month, but I managed to quit again, so will be trying to stay off that again too. I held out for 6 months before I broke, and that was only due to supreme, life-changing stress with my job, so I have confidence I'll manage.
Still, I don't really make resolutions. This is stuff I'd be trying to do anyway, new year or otherwise.
As for tonight, stupid people I don't like are coming over. For four hours. It's going to suck.

if anyone gets on ICQ quicksharp, and can give me a link, i will buy you any goods or service you can find. strippers = bonus points.
-
For anyone who's cares Radiohead is performing a 2 hour in studio show of "In Rainbows" tonight on the CurrentTV channel. Comcast and Time Warner Cable are showing it, I'm watching it at work now since no calls are coming in. I'll be out of here in like 20 mins though.
-
Happy new years everyone.
I made a new years resolution years ago to never make new years resolutions, so none for me. I hung out with the family and drank a few beers
with my brother. Good times.

Drunk dogma wishes you all the best.

Too bad I'm not there to give you an excuse to not have to see (more) stupid people.
No real resolutions this year, just a goal set a few years back.

good to see you're still alive. ;)

Okay, I feel like I can expand upon that (despite poor typing). I went out with my parents tonight to a new Irish pub in town. I had a Guinness, a Carlsburg, and a Newcastle, and then we went home. We played a card game we lovingly call "Oh hell!" until midnight, drank two champaigns each, a mead, etc., and then we all retired in our drunken states. I really do wish you all the best in the new year, even if I've been a flaky non-existant bastard in the first part of 08.

It's always good to see a little Dogma. Glad you had a good night. Ours turned out not so bad. But now I'm sort of half tired, half wired, and want to go to my friend's house, but my wife thinks I'm an idiot and won't let me. Meh.
-
in other words, your wife is sayign "stay home with me":
hahah
i ate too much pizza!!

2008 New Year's was nothing special for me.
Not like any New Year's was that special for me, except for the one that actually began 2007.
Bleh.

I had fun last night despite the fact that I was bitten by a cougar (the old lady kind, not the animal)

That's actualy worse :P

You're probably right, especially considering this particular Cougar. She looked like product of an unholy union between Roseann Arnold and Caroline Rhea and she wouldn't leave me alone.

I have a few new years resolutions, thanks to an awesome girl I just met. It's funny how the right person can motivate you to change your life in ways you didn't think were even options.
1. I will go to the gym and get big again. I lost so much muscle over the last year and I'm way too skinny now.
2. I will be a sweet, romantic and religiously faithful guy to girls I'm interested in. Hooking up is fun, but I forgot how much more satisfying it can be to romance a girl.
3. I will stop being so fucking lazy. so. fucking. lazy.
4. I will stop smoking because it's gross.
5. I will learn to play piano (again) because its awesome. I will also practice guitar more.
I was #2 at one point in my life, but the ex broke my heart -- if that's what you want to call it -- and it turned me into a player. This girl I've been seeing reminded me how great it is to charm like a real stud should. For whatever reason I just decided to dust off the old nice guy card and I'm glad I did.
Coincidentally, I committed to #4 and stopped smoking already. Since meeting her, I haven't smoked a cigarette, partly because she thinks its gross (which I found out at a later time), and because I just haven't really wanted one. I have the least addictive personality so I never really craved a cigarette, it was more of a social thing but since meeting her I just haven't wanted to smoke one.
NYE was fun for me though. I partied it up and brought my girl to Boston Commons for the fireworks and ice things for midnight. Went back to party some more then I did her right. 4 times. Ha.
