Impulse buys (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=230210774045&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=013)
$100 for a refurbished Vision M? I'll roll the dice on that.

I want a copy of Cubivore but...damnit. I dont want to use ebay.
-
nice. always been a fan of the creative players and that's quite the deal.
-
I just realized that it doesn't actually state the colour so now I'm thinking there's about a 40% chance it will break in the next 6 months and a 50% chance it will be pink or lime green. And I suck at painting stuff.
But yeah, I'm pretty pumped and am also a fan of Creative players (although they seem to have moved out of the large capacity market). I'll probably keep my 2Gb Muvo for little stuff, but this will be good to carry around a ton
of music and some video on. I kind of also want to purge my PC of all the unorganized CDs and start over fresh with albums. I listened to a lot of shitty music in University anyways.

I asked the seller what the color was. He simply said it was gay.
-
It should fit gpw perfectly then.
-
Funny, the seller said it was what encouraged the winning buyer.
You'd think the seller wouldn't tell me all this. Aren't there privacy laws regarding this?
-
I recently wasted large sums of money on ebay. That sucker kills me every time. I try to just avoid even going.

Everyone has their price.
The real question is: Will gpw show off his new pink Creative player or will he hide it?
-
I think it depends on where he is.
-
If I'm totally listing to Scissor Sisters while fucking some guy I'll probably show it off, but at work I think I'll probably just use my old one.
There, that's settled.
-
Does the pink mp3 player give you spunk or have you always had so much spunk?
-
It's pretty rare one gets to demand this, so I'm going to take advantage:
Define "spunk".
-
I am so out of touch. What the hell is Scissors Sisters?
-
I can't say for sure, but it certainly sounds gay to me.
-
Ok, well I received this bitch earlier today. So far I like it quite a bit and haven't had any actual problems with the player itself. I personally find the UI, features, and transfer methods far better then that of an ipod, but my fucking mp3 collection is so unorganized it's kind of fucked. No worries, as it seems that it'll be easier to fix on the actual unit or the software shipped with it then it would in windows explorer.
The only real problem I'm going to have is album art. It's easy enough to get on there, but a lot of my ripped albums and such don't have an actual .jpg in the folder on my PC and I can't figure out where the album art for the folder in mymusic comes from (show hidden files and folders is enabled). Does WMP keep them all in a standard database?
-
If you allow WMP to organize and update your system, it will reorganize folders by albums and download album art from its database. It can be cool, but I found the whole thing really annoying when it made mistakes.
edit:
For example Aicha by Khaled, kept going to some folder called Herbie Hankock or something. I don't know who that is, but he sounds a lot whiter than Khaled.
-
I went to Amazon and grabbed their album cover JPEGs as time went on. I ended up with art on all my music folders (one per album). I display the "My Music" folder as thumbnails.
Yeah, I organize the hell out of files I care about over time. Not all at once. You could try this as you move stuff to the player.
-
I am the same way, which is why the WMP thing frustrated me. I thought it would only download album art, not rename folders.
-
Yeah, WMP is pretty much what got me into this whole situation in the first place. My main problem here is where the actual .jpg of the album art is kept in windows. I went the Wmn route a few years ago, and the art for the album isn't in the folder at all (I should be able to view the hidden files as well). So when I copy it over to my Zen, there's no corresponding art.
I might have to go Cobra's route and just download the covers off the internet.
